Stabilization Facility for Libya Endorses Benghazi, Obari and Kikla for a Quick Assessment
The Stabilization Facility for Libya Project Board met this morning in Tunis under the leadership of HE Dr. Taher Al-Jehaimi, Minister of Planning and Mr. Ali Al-Za’tari, the Deputy SRSG and UNDP Resident Representative, as well as the Ambassadors or representatives of the EU, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Switzerland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States of America.

Training Workshop for Libyan Women on UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, Commences Today
Twenty representatives of Libyan women groups and women activists, from diverse backgrounds representing all areas of Libya gathered in Monastir, Tunisia to attend a three-day training workshop, from 25 to 27 May 2016, on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women and peace and security. The training workshop is organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in partnership with the Swiss Government and UN Women regional office for Arab States in Cairo.

UNSMIL and UNDP Train HNEC Staff in logistical support skills
24 May 2016 – Twenty four electoral staff from Libya’s High National Elections Commission (HNEC) completed today a workshop on Logistical support in electoral operations administered by the UN Electoral Support Team to Libya, which brings together resources from UNSMIL and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The training took place in in Tunis, Tunisia, between 22 and 24 May 2016.
