United Nations Security Council Statement on Libya, 17 July 2014
On 17 July, the members of the Security Council heard a briefing from Tarek Mitri, Special Representative of Secretary-Genera, about the situation in Libya. The members of the Security Council also took note of the statement from the Libyan Foreign Minister, Mohamed Abdul-Aziz.

UNSMIL Temporarily Withdrawing Staff from Libya Because of Security Situation
Tripoli, 14 July 2014 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya has been reducing its staff in Libya for the past week because of the prevailing security conditions in the country. We made an announcement about that a few days ago. The reasons behind this are purely due to concerns for the safety and security of the staff.

UNSMIL Calls for Cessation of Hostilities in Libya
Tripoli, 13 July 2014 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) calls for a cessation of hostilities in Tripoli, Benghazi and throughout Libya. Libyan authorities, political forces and armed groups are called upon to put an end to the plight of the civilians.
