SRSG Leon Meets Group of Political Dialogue Participants, Representatives of Municipalities
Skhirat, Morocco, 10 July 2015 - The Special Representative of the Secretary General for Libya (SRSG) convened a number of meetings with a group of participants in the Libyan Political Dialogue and representatives of the municipal councils of Misrata, Sebha, Zleitin, Tripoli the Centre and Mislata to consult on means to support the Libyan Political Dialogue. Participants are convinced that it is important to provide clear guarantees to the dialogue parties for some items in the Agreement. The SRSG called on all parties to leave the constraints of the past and look forward to formulating a common future that promotes collaboration, reconciliation and national unity.

United Nations Condemns Escalating Fighting in Benghazi, Reiterates Call for an End to Hostilities
09 July 2015 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Bernardino Leon, strongly condemns the escalating fighting in Benghazi and the heavy toll it is having on civilians, and reiterates the call for an immediate end to the hostilities. He particularly deplores the shelling of residential areas in the city, and the consequent loss of civilian lives as well as property.

Statement by Libyan Dialogue Participants - Skhirat, Morocco, 02 July 2015
We, the undersigned, participants to the Libyan dialogue process

Acknowledging the depth of the security, political and humanitarian crisis that our beloved country is going through, the challenges that Libya is facing and the urgent need to take the appropriate decisions to end violence and divisions, unite institutions, establish good governance and fight terrorism; reaffirming our commitment to the Libyan-Libyan dialogue as the only way to reach a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Libya, based on the principles of democracy and separation of powers; confident that this agreement presents a clear vision for the management of the transitional period until the constitution is adopted, in a manner that guarantees wide participation of Libyan political actors without exclusion or discrimination;

SECURITY COUNCIL PRESS STATEMENT ON LIBYA
1 July 2015 - The members of the Security Council welcomed the meeting of the participants in the Libyan political dialogue in Morocco on 25-28 June, facilitated by the Special Representative to the Secretary General (SRSG) Bernardino León. 
The members of the Security Council reiterated that there can be no military solution to the crisis in Libya and urged the participants to agree on a Government of National Accord and to sign the proposal presented by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in the coming days.
