Security Council Press Statement on Libya. 22 July 2016
The members of the Security Council welcomed the 16-17 July 2016 meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue and the Presidency Council which discussed how to progress the implementation of the Libyan Political Agreement and sought to address the provision of basic services, resumption of oil production and implementation of the security arrangements contained in the Agreement.

Misrata/Tawergha Joint Committee Agrees on Draft Operation Plan for Roadmap Implementation
The Misrata and Tawergha Joint Committee held a meeting in Tunis on 20 and 21 July 2016 under the auspices of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNSMIL, Martin Kobler, opened the meeting by expressing his full support and appreciation to the work of the committee.

UNSMIL Convenes High Level Roundtable on the Implementation of Interim Security Arrangements
On 18 and 19 July, the Presidential Council and UN Special Representative, Martin Kobler, convened a high level roundtable to discuss the implementation of interim security arrangements as envisaged by Libyan law and the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA). Over forty representatives of Libyan security institutions from all parts of the country attended.
