09 September 2016 – Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya Martin Kobler extends his heartfelt greetings to all Libyans on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, marking the end of Hajj, the holy pilgrimage to Mecca.

“While we everyday remember those who have lost their lives in the fight against terrorism in Benghazi, Sirte, and elsewhere in the country, today offers a particular opportunity to reflect on all that has been sacrificed in the struggle for a peaceful and prosperous future for Libya,” said Martin Kobler.

“As Libya comes together to celebrate Eid al-Adha, I wish all Libyans and their families Eid Mubarak,” the Special Representative said.
