The Joint Technical Coordination Committee meets in Tripoli to agree on International Cooperation for Libya

Tripoli, 12 October 2016 – The Joint Technical Coordination Committee (JTCC) met for the first time today in Tripoli, Libya at the Ministry of Planning.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of Technical Cooperation Department of the Libyan Ministry of Planning and co-chaired by the United Nations’ Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim for Libya (RC/HC a.i.). The participants were the representatives of Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, UK, US, UNICEF and UNSMIL.

Beneficiaries: 5,000 IDPs (2,450 male, 2,550 female)


Support for women who escaped from the Islamic State in Sirt and being held in Al Jawiya prison in Misrata to contact their families. The protection unit is following up with assistance including psycho-social support.
