UN acting Humanitarian Coordinator condemns recent attacks to medical facilities in Benghazi
June 24 – Following three incidents in the past days that put access to health care in Benghazi under attack, the acting UN Humanitarian Coordinator and WHO Representative/ head of mission, Dr. Syed Jaffar Hussain, expresses deep concern and urges all parties to refrain from targeting medical facilities and to take all feasible precautions to prevent casualties among their patients and personnel.

DSRSG for Libya Ali Al-Za'tari Condemns Airstrikes Killing and Injuring Civilians in Derna
16 June 2016 - Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya Ali Al-Za'tari condemns recent airstrikes in residential areas in Derna, which have led to civilian casualties. According to information received by UNSMIL, two children, two men and one woman have been killed, and six children, one women and one man injured as a result of at least four airstrikes in Derna that took place between 04 and 15 June 2016.

Martin Kobler Condemns in the Strongest Terms the Killing of 12 Prisoners in Tripoli, Urges Joint National - International Investigation

Monday 13 June 2016 - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Martin Kobler, condemns in the strongest terms the killing of 12 prisoners, which occurred on 9 June 2016 in Tripoli, after their release was ordered by the court. He expresses his deep sympathy and sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
