30 Jan 2022 - Tripoli, 30 January 2022 – United Nations agencies reinforced their commitment to support people in Libya’s South during a visit to Sabha of a UN delegation, that included Special Advisor of the UN Secretary-General in Libya Stephanie Williams, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Georgette Gagnon and representatives of the UN Country Team on 26 January.
23 Dec 2021 - The Secretary-General takes note of the announcement on 22 December by the Libyan High National Elections Commission that a new date needs to be set by the House of Representatives for the first round of Presidential elections.
21 Dec 2021 - TRIPOLI, 21 December 2021 – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is concerned about the unfolding security situation in Tripoli. The current mobilization of forces affiliated with different groups creates tensions and increases the risk of clashes that could spiral into conflict.
17 Dec 2021 - Ambassadors of Egypt, the EU and the US, joined by the Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary General on Libya, Ms. Stephanie Williams, as co-chairs of the Economic Working Group of the Berlin Process, convened a plenary meeting on 15 December to discuss the progress of reunifying the Central Bank of Libya with Governor Saddek ElKabir and Deputy Governor Ali ElHebri.
