UNSMIL Statement

Tripoli, 08 September 2013 - In response to reports about possible UN interaction with those laying siege to the oil fields, the UN Support Mission in Libya affirms that none of its representatives has met with those laying siege to the oil fields.

UNSMIL reiterates that its activities are conducted in full transparency and in a manner that is respectful of Libyan national sovereignty and unity.
