SCL Derek Plumbly meets Prime Minister Designate Tamam Salam

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all parties to engage positively with Prime Minister Salam’s efforts, and to stress the importance for all of Lebanon’s partners of the formation of a government as soon as possible. Together we have major tasks, in relation for example to the issue of the Syrian refugees and to security issues which concern the United Nations. It goes without saying that the formation of the government is very important for the achievement of our shared goals in relation to all of these issues.
