President of the Tunisian Republic H.E Kais Saied received today the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Ján Kubiš and congratulated him on his appointment.  President Saeid expressed his country's readiness to continue to provide all needed support to the Libyan people and authorities in the coming phase.

Special Envoy Ján Kubiš expressed his appreciation to President Saied for his country's valuable contribution to the Libyan-led, Libyan-owned peace process, including by hosting the first meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in November 2020. Mr Kubiš asserted that he looks forward for more cooperation with Tunisia to support the Libyan people in their quest for stable, prosperous, sovereign and united Libya.
