08 Nov 2020 - UNSMIL welcomes the decision by the Civil Aviation Authority on 4 November 2020 to permit the resumption of flights to all airports in the Southern region of Libya. This decision is a product of the confidence that has been built as a result of the October 23 ceasefire agreement and the follow-up talks of the Joint Military Commission in Ghadames on 2-4 November.

28 Oct 2020 - The members of the Security Council welcomed the permanent ceasefire agreement signed by the 5+5 Joint Military Commission on 23 October in Geneva following talks facilitated by the United Nations. 17 Oct 2020 - On Friday 16 October, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) conducted the first-ever, large-scale digital dialogue online with Libyan youth, aged between 18 and 30. About 1,000 youth participants from all regions of the country and abroad joined the conversation. The dialogue addressed the security, economic and political situation in Libya.
