TRIPOLI - On the occasion of the Hijri New Year, I extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to the Libyan people across the country.
As we enter this new year, we reflect on the enduring lessons of the Hijra, a historic moment that speaks to perseverance in the face of adversity, the strength found in unity, and the importance of building communities grounded in mutual respect. It also reminds us of the timeless values of honesty, compassion, and standing with those in hardship as foundations for justice and dignity for all.
These values remain as relevant today as ever. Libya’s path toward peace and stability likewise depends on mutual understanding, resilience, and the ability of its people to come together across differences in pursuit of a common vision.
We reiterate the importance of unifying national efforts while working collectively to move beyond the current political impasse toward a future defined by unity, security, stability, and prosperity for all.
Wishing Libya and its people peace, wellbeing, and renewed hope in the year ahead.
Happy New Year.
