TRIPOLI - Libyans are calling for accountability, an end to corruption, credible national elections, legitimate unified institutions and an end to armed group influence, according to the results of the Have Your Say public survey launched by UNSMIL in conjunction with the Structured Dialogue.
The full results from the online and telephone surveys, conducted between December 2025 - April 2026, alongside youth-led discussions on UNSMIL’s Digital Youth Platform, helped inform the four tracks of the Structured Dialogue. Results show that 82 per cent of respondents want corrupt individuals and human rights abusers removed from power.
Accountability is among the key priorities identified by Libyans, with 90 per cent also calling for national elections. The findings also highlight the specific concerns and priorities of women and young people on the country’s path forward.
