02 Jul 2022 - The Secretary-General is following with concern the demonstrations that were held in several cities in Libya, including Tripoli, Tobruk and Benghazi, on 1 July. Recognizing the right to demonstrate peacefully, he calls on all protestors to avoid acts of violence and on the security forces to exercise utmost restraint.
15 Mar 2022 - The Co-chairs of the Political Working Group of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya (Algeria, Germany, League of Arab States and United Nations) held a virtual meeting today in which they took stock of the unfolding developments in Libya and discussed how best to support the political process and keep it on track.

30 Jan 2022 - Tripoli, 30 January 2022 – United Nations agencies reinforced their commitment to support people in Libya’s South during a visit to Sabha of a UN delegation, that included Special Advisor of the UN Secretary-General in Libya Stephanie Williams, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Georgette Gagnon and representatives of the UN Country Team on 26 January.
23 Dec 2021 - The Secretary-General takes note of the announcement on 22 December by the Libyan High National Elections Commission that a new date needs to be set by the House of Representatives for the first round of Presidential elections.
