UNSMIL’s mandate is to facilitate a wider engagement and participation of women and youth in the Libyan political process, recognising that the process should be inclusive of all Libyans.

UNSMIL has been working to support youth engagement in three different ways:

Aligning with UN Resolution 2250 (2015) on Youth, Peace and Security, YouEngage is dedicated to integrating Libyan youth into the peacebuilding process, recognizing that their ideas and perspectives are crucial for progress.
