24 Dec 2014 - 24 December 2014 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) welcomes today’s announcement by the Constitutional Drafting Assembly (CDA) to release its thematic committees’ preliminary work for public discussion and feedback. Working under difficult conditions, the CDA has demonstrated its determination to produce a constitutional text that reflects the aspirations of all Libyans, and its recognition of the importance of public participation.
23 Dec 2014 - Representatives of Libyan women organizations and activists met on Thursday 18 December 2014 in the City of Al-Baida with the Chairman of the Constitution-Drafting Assembly (CDA), Dr. Ali Tarhouni, and members of the CDA committees to present the demands for women rights and more general, constitutional rights that they hope it will be included in the draft constitution.

28 Nov 2014 - Zarzis, Tunisia, 28 November 2014 - Senior management staff from the Department of Antiquities of Libya and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) participated into a four-day training workshop on crisis management and emergency preparedness, addressed to officials from Sabha Local Governance (South Libya).
26 Nov 2014 - New York, 25 November 2014 - The Secretary-General is deeply concerned by the recent escalation of violence in Libya, including the air strikes in Tripoli and the Nafousa Mountains in the west, as well as in Benghazi and its environs in the east. He calls on all parties to end these attacks and prevent further escalation and reminds them of their moral and legal obligations to protect civilians and abide by international human rights and humanitarian law.
