09 Mar 2016 - 29 February 2016 – Tunis – The United Nations and the Libyan Bureau of Statistics presented the results of the 2014 Libyan National Family Health Survey to the international community, United Nations agencies and the Libyan Embassy on Monday 29 February. UNSMIL DSRSG/RC/HR/RR, Mr. Ali Al-Za’tari, chaired the ceremony together with Dr. Abdalla Zidan, Director of Libyan Census & Statistical Bureau.
08 Mar 2016 - 08 March 2016 - Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), convened a two-day conference under the theme of “The Role of Civil Society in Restoring Rule of Law and Human Rights in Libya." The conference took place on 3 and 4 March in Tunis, Tunisia.
01 Mar 2016 - Tunis, February 26, 2016 - UNICEF’s Special Representative in Libya, Dr. Ghassan Khalil, has commended the decision of Al Zintan’s Municipal Council for the release, rehabilitaton and reintegration of any child under 18, involved in the armed conflict, and the establishment of a rehabilitation centre in the city that will also serve adults who as children were involved previously in armed conflicts.

16 Feb 2016 - Vienna, Austria – 15 February 2016 – A three day “working” group” review of the implementation of recommendations for improved professional and ethical behaviour in Libyan media opened today at the International Press Institute (IPI) in Vienna. A small team drawn from participants who attended the Madrid meetings in July and October 2015 leads the review, facilitated by UNESCO and IPI.
