07 Jul 2020 - TRIPOLI, 07 JULY 2020 - As part of the ongoing Berlin process, experts of the Economic Working Group of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya met virtually on July 6, in the presence of Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya Stephanie Williams and National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman Mustafa Sanalla, to reiterate full support for the NOC as it lifts force majeure nationwide and resumes its vital work on behalf of all Libyans.

02 Jul 2020 - Today marks one year since the airstrike on the Tajoura Detention Centre which resulted in the killing of at least 52 migrants and the injury of 87 others in one of the deadliest incidents since the launch of the attack on Tripoli in April 2019.

23 Jun 2020 - TRIPOLI, 23 June 2020 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) welcomes the establishment of an international Fact-Finding Mission to Libya (FFML), pursuant to a resolution adopted yesterday by the Human Rights Council.
12 Jun 2020 - The Secretary-General is deeply shocked by the discovery of multiple mass graves in recent days, the majority of them in Tarhouna. The Secretary-General calls for a thorough and transparent investigation, and for the perpetrators to be brought to justice. In particular, he calls on the authorities to secure the mass graves, identify the victims, establish causes of death and return the bodies to next of kin.
The United Nations has offered support in this regard.
