16 Jan 2019 - Tripoli, 16 January 2019 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) strongly condemns the recent military mobilisation of forces in southern Tripoli and is monitoring the situation closely. UNSMIL warns parties against any breach of the ceasefire agreement concluded on 04 and 09 September 2018, compromising stability in the capital and, most importantly, endangering the lives of civilians and their properties.

09 Jan 2019 - TUNIS – UN-Habitat launched a ten-day training course in Geographic information System (GIS) mapping on urban planning for 18 civil servants from different branches of Libya’s Urban Planning Agency (UPA) and six municipalities. (Benghazi, Ubari, Al Kufra, Sebha, Sirte and Janzour).

03 Jan 2019 - Cairo, 31 December 2018 - As part of the capacity building agreement between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Government of Libya, FAO representation to Libya is delivering a training workshop to cadres from the Libyan ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Marine Wealth, in collaboration with the Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture (EICA).

25 Dec 2018 - The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today, in Tripoli. It expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured. UNSMIL reaffirms that attacks on state institutions constitutes an attack on all Libyans.
