18 Dec 2017 - Tunis, 18 December 2017 - 36,000 migrant children are in need of assistance in Libya, figures revealed today on International Migrants Day show. Out of an estimated 400,000 migrants, nine per cent are children and, shockingly, more than 14,000 children are also unaccompanied.
17 Dec 2017 - Since the launch of the UN Action Plan for Libya, on September 20th 2017, my colleagues and I have been working arduously to support Libya to enter a stage of certainty, embodied in a stable, capable and fair state. Libyans say that they are tired of moving from one transition to another. They aspire for an effective state that provides services starting with security to public health and education. This is exactly what the UN Action Plan set out to achieve.

14 Dec 2017 - Tripoli, 14 December 2017 - Seventeen senior officers of the Libya Presidential Guard completed today a week-long training on international human rights law in Tripoli, conducted by the Human Rights office of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). The 17 participants included heads of divisions, as well as the Presidential Guard’s own training office.
13 Dec 2017 - Tunis - The World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Libya conducted a two-day planning workshop (8-9 December) on “Strengthening Health Information System for Patients living with HIV/AIDS”. The workshop was held in WHO Libya office located in Tunis.
12 December 2017, Tunis - In continuation to the efforts aiming to enhance the capacities of health personnel and improve access to medical supplies in Libya, the EU-funded WHO project “Strengthening Health Information System and Medical Supply Chain Management (SHAMS)” is currently conducting an introductory training workshop on "Pharmaceutical Inventory Management".

08 Dec 2017 - Tunis, 8 December 2017 - The UN electoral support project “Promoting Elections for the People of Libya (PEPOL) benefitted today from a contribution of 1 million Euros from the Federal Republic of Germany. The contribution agreement was signed by the Ambassador of Germany to Libya, Dr. Christian Buck and the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary General and Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Libya, Ms. Maria Ribeiro.
