The Special Envoy reiterated the UN steadfast commitment to a stable, prosperous and united Libya, building on the positive outcome of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Switzerland.

05 Feb 2021 - Switzerland, 5 February - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announces that it has received four lists of candidates for the positions of the three-member Presidency Council and of Prime Minister, which were submitted by the specified deadline and with the required number of endorsements, as stipulated in the selection mechanism adopted by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) o 19 January.
04 Feb 2021 - 4 February 2021 - UNSMIL welcomes the convening of the 7th round of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee (JMC) at its Headquarters in Sirte, from 4 to 7 February, to continue the planning for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement signed on 23 October 2020 in Geneva.
04 Feb 2021 - Assistant Secretary-General and UNSMIL Coordinator Raisedon Zenenga met today with the Head of the Presidency Council Fayez Serraj.
They discussed current developments in Libya and ways to strengthen UN support to Libya, in light of the momentum generated by the ongoing Libya Political Dialogue Forum process and the progress on the other tracks of the Berlin process.
02 Feb 2021 - Switzerland, 2 February 2021 - Today, on the second day of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) meeting in Switzerland which has convened to select a temporary unified executive authority to take Libya to national elections on 24 December 2021, the members of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum cast their votes for members of the Presidency Council.
