27 Apr 2018 - Libya – IOM, UNICEF and UNHCR are enhancing migrant and refugee child protection measures in Libya. In March 2018, IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix identified some 29,370 unaccompanied migrant children in Libya – although the real figure could be much higher.

24 Apr 2018 - Tuesday 24 April 2018 – Explosive remnants of war lead to devastating humanitarian consequences, causing injury, death and massive displacement of civilians across Libya. With limited resources, Libyan Security Institutions such as the National Safety Authority and Military Engineers carry out the critical and risky clearance work to reduce the impact of explosive remnants of war on civilians’ lives.

11 Apr 2018 - Tripoli, 7 April 2018 - Libya commemorated the 70th World Health Day (WHD) under the theme “universal Health coverage-everyone, everywhere”, by arranging a joint seminar on the theme of WHD by WHO, MoH, NCDC and the University of Tripoli at Tripoli University Hospital (Tripoli Medical Center).
30 Mar 2018 - Tunis, 30 March 2018 - The Technical Committee of the “Towards National Reconciliation in Libya” project met this week with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General Ghassan Salamé and the State Minister for IDP Affairs Youssef Jalala to discuss the safe return of the Tawergha community and the Misrata-Tawergha reconciliation process. In attendance were also Abdelrahmane Al-Shakshak, Head of the Tawergha Local Council and Ali Abusitta, Misrata Municipal Council
In order to respond to the growing needs of vulnerable displaced women across Libya, UNHCR and UNFPA, with the support of German funding, are currently distributing 8,517 dignity and hygiene kits in 16 different locations in the areas of Tripoli, Misrata, Sabha, Nafusa Mountains, Bani Walid , Janzour , Ubari and Murzaq.
23 Mar 2018 - Tunis, 23 March 2018 – The Government of Libya and the United Nations discussed new way forward to support Libya in a round of consultations on the United Nations Strategic Framework (UNSF) for the period 2019-2020 and Country Programme Documents of UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF.
