On 19th of April, WHO supplied 13 Trauma Kits and 14 Incubators to Hospital in Sirte, Bani Walid, Tripoli, Zliten, Assabia, El Khadra and Benghazi. One Trauma Kit is sufficient for 100 major surgical procedures and each kit contains all essential trauma care supplies and medicines.
United Nations officials are mentoring Libyan coastal guards regularly engaged in risky search-and-rescue missions at sea. In the process, they are arming them with greater awareness of how to deal with migrants and refugees, some of the most vulnerable of whom are women.
Tripoli - The President of the Presidential Council of Libya HE Fayez Al-Sarraj, met with Ms Maria do Valle Ribeiro, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General and UN Resident Coordinator (UNSMIL) for Libya, in Tripoli, who handed over titles for ten ambulances for Sirte.
