Braving high temperatures and uncertain security conditions in some parts of the country, Libyans headed to the polls on Wednesday 25 June 2014 to participate in the latest step of the country’s democratic transition.

23 June 2014 - The members of the Security Council welcomed the holding of parliamentary elections in Libya on 25 June.
Tripoli, 15 June 2014 – Ballot papers, registration books and other electoral materials for Libya’s upcoming national elections arrived at Tripoli International Airport on Saturday 14 June 2014.
Tripoli, 11 June 2014 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) stresses the importance of holding a dialogue meeting among representatives of Libyan political forces and stakeholders to reach a national agreement, irrespective of their differences and divisions.
