GENEVA / TUNIS (13 December 2016) - The breakdown in the Libyan justice system has led to a state of impunity in which migrants are subjected to serious human rights violations and abuses, according to a joint UN human rights report published today.

10 December 2016 - The Special Representative to the Secretary General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Martin Kobler, is deeply worried that civilians remain in Qanfouda despite the unilateral ceasefire announcement by the Libyan National Army (LNA).
The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland today has committed an additional financial contribution to the Stabilization Facility for Libya (SFL) which will fund urgent and vital projects to support the people of Sirte.
The cities of Sirte and Sebha will receive a package of $US 10 million dollars aimed at rebuilding the battered health and education sectors as well as water and power supplies for their residents, estimated at about 250,000 before most of them fled the fighting.
