Libya - IOM Libya’s Displacement Tracking Matrix is expanding its programme by increasing its Flow Monitoring coverage to 35 baladiyas, launching a pilot of Detention Centre Profiles and developing rapid response assessment capacity.
The members of the Security Council condemned the military escalation in southern Libya including the attack at Brak al-Shati on 18 May, which reportedly resulted in the summary executions of combatants and civilians.
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) for Libya and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Martin Kobler, is following reports of ongoing fighting in Tripoli with grave concern.
