Tunis, 1 August 2018 – From 1 July to 31 July 2018, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) documented 8 civilian casualties –three deaths and five injuries – during the conduct of hostilities across Libya.
Trafficking in persons is a vile crime that feeds on inequalities, instability and conflict. Human traffickers profit from peoples’ hopes and despair. They prey on the vulnerable and rob them of their fundamental rights.
A thematic meeting on real estate, land and property rights in Libya was organized in Tunis by UNSMIL and UNDP on 9-10 July as part of the project “Towards National Reconciliation in Libya”.
The members of the Security Council welcomed the briefing from the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG), Ghassan Salamé, on 16 July 2018.
Tunis, 11 July 2018 - A group of internally displaced persons (IDPs), activists, civil society organizations members and some representatives of those displaced from Benghazi attended a two-day consultative meeting in Tunis to discuss the future dialogue process.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) welcomes the return to regular production and export of Libya’s oil under the control of the National Oil Corporation. This is in compliance with UN Security Council Resolutions (2259, 2278 and 2362.).
