Tunis, 2 October 2018 – From 1 September to 31 September 2018, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) documented 40 civilian casualties –18 deaths and 22 injuries – during the conduct of hostilities across Libya.

New York, 21 September 2018 - The Secretary-General is alarmed by the increasing number of violations of the ceasefire agreement signed by armed groups in Tripoli on 4 September under the auspices of his Special Representative, Ghassan Salamé.
Tripoli, 10 September 2018 - The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack on the National Oil Company today. It expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
Zawiya, 9 September 2018 - The United Nations Support Mission to Libya (UNSMIL) hosted a meeting today to discuss the consolidation of the 4 September 2018 ceasefire, agree on a monitoring and verification mechanism and begin talks on the security arrangements in the Greater Trip
6 September 2018 - The members of the Security Council welcomed the briefing from the Special Representative of the Secretary‑General, Ghassan Salamé, on 5 September 2018.

Zawiya, 4 September, 2018 – The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) thanks the Libyan parties who accepted the Mission’s invitation for dialogue and congratulates them on reaching a ceasefire agreement to end the fighting afflicting Tripoli since 26 August.
