On 26 March, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) participated in the world’s largest movement for the environment, Earth Hour.

On 3 March 2022, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General (SASG) on Libya Ms. Stephanie Williams announced an initiative to form a joint committee from the House of Representatives (HoR) and High Council of State (HCS) to agree on a firm constitutional basis for national elections.

The Co-chairs of the Political Working Group of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya (Algeria, Germany, League of Arab States and United Nations) held a virtual meeting today in which they took stock of the unfolding developments in
The Secretary-General continues to closely follow developments in Libya, including the 1 March session of the House of Representatives, which held a vote of confidence on the appointment of a new government.
The Secretary-General is following closely the situation in Libya.
