Tunis, 14 August 2017 - During the first quarter of 2017, UNCIEF in partnership with the National Centre for Disease Control and the Ministry of Education conducted an in-depth assessment of the quality of water and sanitation facilities in 140 schools in west, east and south of Libya.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya Ghassan Salame arrived in Benghazi today as part of his ongoing efforts to engage Libyans everywhere on how best to move the political process forward and bring peace to the country.

Al- Qubbah, 6 August, 2017 -  On his second day in Libya, Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya Ghassan Salame met with the Libyan House of Representatives’ President Agila Saleh in his residence in al-Qubbah.
