Thursday, 17 August 2017 –The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya Ghassan Salame landed in Zintan today to hear from its residents on how best to move the political process forward and build peace and prosperity in Libya. 

Tunis, 14 August 2017 - During the first quarter of 2017, UNCIEF in partnership with the National Centre for Disease Control and the Ministry of Education conducted an in-depth assessment of the quality of water and sanitation facilities in 140 schools in west, east and south of Libya.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya Ghassan Salame arrived in Benghazi today as part of his ongoing efforts to engage Libyans everywhere on how best to move the political process forward and bring peace to the country.
