01 Apr 2016 - The Third Libya Experts Development Cooperation Forum Focuses on Reform Policy Options for the Government of National Accord
Tunis, 1 April 2016 – The third meeting of the Libya Experts Development Cooperation Forum took place in Tunis on 31 March and 1 April 2016, bringing together Libyan academics, policy makers, prominent experts, entrepreneurs and the international community.
01 Apr 2016 - On Wednesday 30 March, Libyan and international NGOs, relevant Government partners, international partners and UN Agencies met to share experiences on common challenges and assistance delivery mechanisms. The Humanitarian Country Team led by the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator, Mr. Ali Al-Za’tari, convened an important meeting to discuss the most pressing humanitarian issues in Libya.
01 Apr 2016 - The Secretary-General welcomes the arrival of the Libyan Presidency Council in Tripoli on 30 March, which marks an important step in the implementation of the Libyan Political Agreement. He calls on all actors to respect the aspirations of the overwhelming majority of the Libyan people for peace, stability and prosperity.
23 Mar 2016 - Tunis, Tunisia: The United Nations Mine Actions Service (UNMAS) and Arms and Ammunition Advisory Section (AAAS) of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has brought together 23 members of its Libyan mine action partners for a 5 day workshop, from 14 – 18 March, on the pillars of humanitarian mine action and their capacity to implement activities across Libya.

11 Mar 2016 - UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Libya Calls for Humanitarian Ceasefires and Safe Exit of Civilians Trapped in Fighting Areas in Benghazi
11 March 2016 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has received reports that many families are trapped in areas of fighting in the city of Benghazi, specifically in the Qanfouda and Qawarsha neigbourhoods. They face shortages of electricity, food and medical supplies.
09 Mar 2016 - 29 February 2016 – Tunis – The United Nations and the Libyan Bureau of Statistics presented the results of the 2014 Libyan National Family Health Survey to the international community, United Nations agencies and the Libyan Embassy on Monday 29 February. UNSMIL DSRSG/RC/HR/RR, Mr. Ali Al-Za’tari, chaired the ceremony together with Dr. Abdalla Zidan, Director of Libyan Census & Statistical Bureau.
