12 Dec 2013 - “Strong Leaders Make Strong Institutions”
Under the patronage of the Minister of Justice, and in cooperation with the Judicial Police Department, United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is organizing a roundtable for the Directors of the Correction and Rehabilitation institutions in Libya under the title: “Strong Leaders Make Strong Institutions” on Saturday and Sunday 14-15 December 2013.
The roundtable aims to:
11 Dec 2013 - Human Rights Day 2013 was marked worldwide, but in Libya the celebrations touched on the specifics of the country as is forges ahead with its post-revolution transition.
09 Dec 2013 - On the event of the International Human Rights day and the end of the 16 days of activism against gender violence.
You are kindly invited to attend a private reception featuring speeches about the current status of human rights in Libya.
During the event we will also launch our awareness campaign which addresses the most pressing woman rights issues which should be focused on in the coming constitution.

04 Nov 2013 - On 2 November, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Libya has inaugurated a photo and multimedia exhibition aimed at raising awareness about the plight of persons from Syria while they flee their country and reach Libya.
13 Oct 2013 - New York, 10 October 2013, The Secretary-General is relieved by the release of Prime Minister Ali Zeidan of Libya and emphasises his continued support to the Government of Libya. He reiterates his condemnation of the Prime Minister's abduction.
01 Oct 2013 - Tripoli, 1 October 2013 – A report is issued jointly by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, in implementation of UNSMIL’s mandate of assisting Libyans in promoting human rights.
