Tripoli — As Libya moves toward establishing electoral laws, female members of the High Council of State and the House of Representatives have agreed to work together to advocate for greater women’s representation in the country’s future parliament.
TRIPOLI – 30 April 2023 – As a young man Khaled Alwadawi picked up the remnants of a rocket that had landed near his house in Misrata and took it to the local police station.

SRSG Abdoulaye Bathily updates the United Nations Security Council on the situation in Libya on 18 April 2023.
The SRSG’s work to support Libya on its path to elections in 2023 and broaden the political process to include a wider scope of actors is underway, he reported 18 April to the Security Council.

TRIPOLI, 05 April 2023 – Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) in Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, today concluded his first official visit to Libya’s southern neighbours, Sudan, Chad and Niger.
