Workshop on National Strategy for Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health in Libya

Tunis – The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)  together with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) have organized a Reproductive Maternal, Newborn, Children and Adolescents Health (RMNCAH) workshop in close collaboration with the Libyan Ministry of Health.

The workshop has brought together experts from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Local Government and UN agencies to review and adopt the best strategies for improving the quality and management of health care in the challenging circumstances in Libya.

The outcomes of the three-day workshop will allow the Ministry of Health to  set up a national RMNCAH strategic plan (2017- 2021), as well as a two-year action plan (2017-2018). Both the strategy and the action plan – an outcome of several technical consultations – will be essential to address the health needs of the Libyan population.
