World Health Organization response to health humanitarian needs in Ghat

On 6 November 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) country office in Libya delivered urgently 5 Interagency Emergency Health Kits (IEHK) to Ghat as part of the WHO humanitarian response to the city. These kits are designed to meet basic health needs of 5000 people for approximately three months and will help struggling health facilities to deliver primary health services to thousands of people. WHO is working on making the Ghat hospital fully functional in the coming weeks. World Health Organization re-confirmed its continued humanitarian commitment and support to all over Libya.
