17 Mar 2014 - Tripoli, 17 March 2014 – Japan is contributing US$5.2 million to the Voluntary Trust Fund for Assistance in Mine Action to facilitate the clearance of explosive remnants of war, a program coordinated by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
13 Mar 2014 - The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and the Libyan Mine Action Centre (LIBMAC) launched the 2014 Portfolio for Assistance in Humanitarian Mine Action and Arms and Ammunition Management, seeking to raise from international donors an additional US$17 million for this year to support efforts to rid Libya of the explosive remnants of war.

political parties, the revolutionaries, the activists and personalities to uphold the high
national interest and refrain from resorting to force to resolve political disputes and avert the
risks which could lead the country to slide into lawlessness and chaos.
28 Jan 2014 - Tripoli, 28 January 2014 - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is following with great concern the deteriorating security situation and violent clashes that have taken place in Wershfanah and neighbouring areas, which have caused many casualties. The Mission calls upon all parties to exert every effort to reach a prompt end to violence and restore security and stability in the area.

12 Dec 2013 - “Strong Leaders Make Strong Institutions”
Under the patronage of the Minister of Justice, and in cooperation with the Judicial Police Department, United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is organizing a roundtable for the Directors of the Correction and Rehabilitation institutions in Libya under the title: “Strong Leaders Make Strong Institutions” on Saturday and Sunday 14-15 December 2013.
