Incorporation of Child Rights and & Child Justice into the curriculum of the
Judiciary, Police and Social Work

Concluding meeting

WHAT: A joint press briefing, held by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Libya and UNICEF to announce the incorporation of Child Rights and Child Justice into the curriculum of the Judiciary, Police and Social Work.

WHEN: Monday, 16th December, 1pm

WHY: The Judiciary, Police and Social workers are the custodians of the basic needs of disadvantaged children and children in contact with the law in terms of protecting their fundamental rights as well as assisting in their psychological and social well- being.

This meeting announces the milestone reached in this quest through the inclusion of training on child protection in the pre-services curricula of professionals working with children in contact with the law or children in need of care and protection, in order to enable them to concretely apply these concepts in their responsibilities in protecting children.
