07 May 2015 - In line with UNSMIL’s efforts to support and build the capabilities of Libyan cadres, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Mission organized an event in the city of Djerba, Tunisia, on 3-7 May 2015 on how to cope and deal with violence in conflict zones. Technical support was offered at the event to 20 participants from the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Social Affairs, as well as health workers and representatives of civil society organizations working on issues related to violence against women. The event was funded by the Swiss Government.
