22 Jan 2021 - On 21 January, the co-chairs of the International Follow-Up Committee on Libya’s Economic Working Group (EWG), including Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya Stephanie Williams and representatives of Egypt, the United States and the European Union, convened a meeting to discuss urgent economic issues including the need to manage the impacts of a unified exchange rate as well as the need to unify and consolidate a national budget.
20 Jan 2021 - 20 January 2021 - The Constitutional Committee formed by the House of Representatives and the High Council of State held a meeting between 19-20 January in Hurghada, The Arab Republic of Egypt, and agreed on holding a constitutional referendum before the general elections on December 24th. The meeting, generously hosted by the Egyptian Government in Hurghada, is convened to discuss the constitutional arrangements necessary for the holding of elections on December 24, 2021.
